What is RUTF?
RUTF, or Ready-to-Use Therapeutic Food, is a specially formulated, nutrient-dense paste used to treat Severe Acute Malnutrition (SAM). It’s a balanced blend of ingredients rich in proteins, fats, carbohydrates, and essential vitamins and minerals, designed to provide the necessary nutrients for recovery. RUTF does not require cooking or refrigeration, making it ideal for use in resource-limited settings.
